We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and catering and banqueting, along with proven leadership skills to manage kitchen operations efficiently. This role requires creativity in menu planning, expertise in food preparation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food production and presentation.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing best practices for food handling and sanitation.
Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
Monitor food costs and labor expenses to maintain profitability while delivering exceptional service.
Lead by example in cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating standards.
Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak service times.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or banquet settings.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and catering services.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and food service management practices.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and creating unique dishes.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure while ensuring high-quality service.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, guests, and suppliers.
Commitment to upholding food safety standards and regulations.
