We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards and customer expectations
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
Train and mentor junior staff to foster professional growth and teamwork
Collaborate with management on event planning, special menus, and customer feedback
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes hospitality excellence and staff morale
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service delivery
Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Previous experience in serving customers or managing service operations is desirable
Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are preferred
