Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to run our new catering brand out of a pub. Focussing on classics with a twist, homemade sauces, loaded burgers & wings. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have experience in delivering quality food in a pub setting. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen focussing on delicious food, quick service and a nice, calm, organised kitchen. We want someone to grow with, who can implement ideas and looking for career progression.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality food production. Develop menus and specials that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain cost control measures while upholding the quality of dishes served.

Experience

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, showcasing leadership qualities that inspire others. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
