We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pan Asian Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and inspiring creativity within the team. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality standards are met
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across the kitchen
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to prevent shortages or excess
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety legislation
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
Extensive food production knowledge with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings, ideally with a focus on fine dining or high-volume service
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to innovate creatively while maintaining operational efficiency
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles within a hospitality context
