Antojitos are looking for a Head Chef to lead their high volume location at Edinburgh Street Food.

We are looking for someone who:

Is a leader, with strong communication skills and the ability to lead in a calm and professional manner Has a strong interest in plant based and vegan foods - you don't need to be vegan, but if you turn your nose up at vegan food, then this job isn't for you. Has a strong interest in Mexican food! We're obsessed, so we hope you will be too! Is creative and bold in their development of new dishes Is organised and structured in their approach to work, able to plan ahead and react calmly when things don't go to plan. Is not afraid to engage with customers - our kitchen is in a street food environment and all our chefs will have to engage with our guests on a daily basis, and you should be confident in setting a standard on this and leading from the front.
Main responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

All staff management including recruitment, training, coaching, and rotas. Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene Ensuring all dishes leaving the kitchen are served to a high standard Menu development Cost control on both food costs and labour costs Maintenance of equipment including arranging checks and repairs when required
The ideal candidate will have some Head Chef experience, although we are keen to hear from candidates with strong senior chef experience or other relevant management experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 34,000.00-36,500.00 per year
