We are a growing family wedding business seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards Develop and implement menus that reflect current trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations Manage kitchen budgets, controlling costs while maximising quality

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
