We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef / Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and innovate menu offerings to delight our guests. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during service
Oversee food production, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends
Manage food preparation and apply cooking processes, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and promote teamwork
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated expertise in cooking techniques across various cuisines
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities efficiently
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and management
Knowledge of serving protocols and customer service principles is advantageous
Must be able to work in a fast paced kitchen and busy restaurant and function room

Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
