Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is days only and no evening work is required. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to culinary excellence, as well as the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistent quality. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in the recruitment of kitchen personnel and conduct performance evaluations. Innovate new recipes and improve existing dishes based on customer feedback.

Skills

Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management. Excellent culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
