We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to run our kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The hours will be Thursday-Sunday
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and hygiene regulations
Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, adhering to recipes and portion sizes
Serve as a key point of contact for customer feedback related to food quality
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team of kitchen staff
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong understanding of food production processes and restaurant operations
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of service
