We're hiring a Head Chef for a well-established Indian restaurant in Orpington. You'll own the kitchen, keep standards tight, and lead a small, steady team.
What you'll do
Lead the curry section and Tandoor, deliver consistent gravies, sauces, marinades and finishes
Run smooth services and keep ticket times under control
Plan menus and specials with an eye on margin and seasonality
Control GP, stock, ordering, waste and supplier relationships
Train and mentor junior chefs, set prep lists and cleaning schedules
Keep HACCP, allergens and due-diligence up to date, ready for EHO at any time
Work with FOH on pacing, feedback and dish quality
What you'll bring
Proven Head Chef experience in Indian cuisine, or a strong Sous ready to step up
Deep curry skills, from base sauces to finishing and plating consistency
Solid grasp of GP, stock control, waste reduction and rota planning
HACCP/allergen knowledge and a clean, organised section
Calm under pressure, clear communicator, team first
