We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the Hotel's reputation for outstanding cuisine and service through a hands on approach to cooking.

Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently
Develop and innovate menu items in collaboration with management, maintaining current culinary trends
Manage food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness in accordance with regulations
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Monitor inventory levels and control food costs to optimise profitability
Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Ensure consistent presentation of dishes and maintain high culinary standards at all times
Oversee the organisation of kitchen workflow during service hours, including serving arrangements when necessary
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a busy Hotel or hospitality environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Experience in culinary arts with a focus on innovation and quality control
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers
