Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Duties



Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including sous chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency. Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food production, presentation, and customer service. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold health and safety standards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.

Requirements



Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices. Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to food service environments. Previous experience in food production, serving, and maintaining high standards of quality assurance. A passion for gastronomy coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
