We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth daily operations
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and meet customer preferences
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality standards
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Uphold high standards of hospitality, serving guests with professionalism and courtesy
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef progressing into leadership roles
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across diverse cuisines
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Demonstrable experience in food safety standards and compliance with health regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a solid understanding of hospitality operations
Skilled in serving guests directly when required, ensuring excellent customer service standards
Leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
