We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and maintaining a positive team environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff management, and maintaining the highest standards of food presentation and taste.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations
Develop innovative menus that align with restaurant branding and customer preferences
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies and managing inventory levels
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and foster a collaborative team environment
Monitor kitchen performance, address any issues promptly, and implement improvements
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Assist in serving customers when necessary to uphold excellent hospitality standards
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
Extensive food production and preparation skills with a focus on quality and presentation
Strong team management capabilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and suppliers
