: Head Chef

Role Overview
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading all culinary operations, driving food quality, consistency, and innovation while managing costs and developing a high-performing kitchen team. You will play a central role in shaping the restaurant's identity, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and professionalism.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional food quality at all times.
Develop, maintain, and execute menus that align with the restaurant's concept and commercial objectives.
Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
Manage food costs, GP targets, wastage, and stock control effectively.
Recruit, train, develop, and manage the kitchen brigade, including rotas, appraisals, and discipline.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
Work closely with the General Manager and senior team to align kitchen and business strategy.
Establish strong relationships with suppliers and oversee ordering and deliveries.
Lead by example during service, remaining calm, focused, and quality-driven under pressure.
Plan and execute menu tastings, specials, and seasonal menu changes.
Monitor kitchen equipment and maintenance, reporting issues promptly.
Drive a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture.
What You'll BringProven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a premium or high-volume restaurant environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Strong financial awareness with experience managing food costs and GP targets.
Creative approach to menu development with a solid understanding of seasonality.
In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best kitchen practices.
Ability to work calmly and decisively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
