Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen
Lead menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Train new team members in food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional development
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in menu development and food service operations
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills
Familiarity with customer service principles related to hospitality and serving guests
