Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Develop and implement creative menus that cater to diverse tastes while adhering to seasonal availability.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and best practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain a high level of culinary excellence while managing costs effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Previous experience in menu development is advantageous.
