Head Chef - Spanish Tapas Restaurant

Ole Tapas Bar and Restaurant is looking for a Head Chef to join our team in Wolverton. We are an award-winning Spanish tapas bar and restaurant with an authentic, family-run atmosphere.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be required to deliver a high level and quality of service to the chefs and customers.

About the Role:

Duties will be maintaining and controlling the kitchen, such as preparation and service of food as well as kitchen logs and stock controls.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure that all food meets quality standards and is prepared in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain menus that are innovative and appealing to customers
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Familiarity with restaurant management software is a plus
