We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences in our refurbished restaurant & hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of food production and kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels without excess waste.
Implement cost control measures while maintaining the quality of dishes served.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
Demonstrated ability in food preparation techniques and culinary skills across various cuisines.
Excellent leadership qualities with experience in supervising and managing a diverse team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
