Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the opening of our new restaurant.

We are a Brunch/Lunch concept restaurant open 8am-5pm Sun-Thurs and 8am-9pm Friday and Saturdays with a Mexican themed evening menu.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, its staff, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Set up and preserve a clean and safe working environment. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs to maximise profitability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively. Comprehensive culinary experience with a passion for hospitality. Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of making sound decisions under pressure. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
