Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team across 2 sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the culinary direction of our establishment and inspire a talented team of kitchen professionals.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment. Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet established quality standards and presentation guidelines. Manage food preparation processes, including planning menus, sourcing ingredients, and controlling portion sizes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all kitchen areas. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently to minimise waste. Train and mentor junior staff, promoting continuous professional development within the team. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety protocols.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing a diverse team of kitchen staff. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations essential for maintaining compliance. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff. Passion for innovation in cuisine coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Work Location: In person
