Responsibilities

Oversee food preparation processes to maintain quality and consistency in every dish served. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs effectively. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and productivity.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Proficient cooking skills with extensive culinary experience across various cuisines. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is essential for understanding the dynamics of a busy kitchen environment. Strong leadership qualities to effectively guide the kitchen team towards achieving excellence in service.
