Job Description

A Tavola Pizzeria Restaurant is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef/Pizza Chef to organize the kitchen's activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.

Responsibilities:

Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
Approve and "polish" dishes before they reach the customer
Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
Be fully in charge of managing and training kitchen staff
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Requirements:

An experience as Head Chef/Pizza Chef , previous experience cooking Italian cuisine would be desirable.
A knowledge of making fresh dough and preparing pizzas.
Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
A positive attitude and a good team player.
Enjoy working in a busy, fast paced but friendly environment.
Good kitchen cleaning standards: Responsible for maintaining clean pizzeria (oven/kitchen area), fridges, floors and surfaces.
Kitchen logistics including labelling, safe storage of food, temperature checks, deliveries, and routine cleaning.
