Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining efficiency during service hours Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Strong team management and leadership abilities Excellent skills in food safety and hygiene practices Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable Ability to develop creative menus that appeal to a wide audience Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and management Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours
