Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Develop and innovate menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in their culinary development. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of food items. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen team members on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Monitor food costs and waste management to optimise profitability.

Experience

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong background in culinary arts with expertise in various cooking techniques. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food production and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
