Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Plan and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with health regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends to innovate menu offerings and enhance guest satisfaction.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality standards.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate and inspire team members.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
