Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced head chef to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant kitchen in St Ives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and food service, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. We are all hands on here, "work hard and be kind" is the focus of our recruitment and helps us to build a great team. You would need to lead this approach across the whole business.

The concept will be breakfast & brunch with pizza served into the evening. Great coffee & smoothies for lunch and beautiful wine in the evening. The head chef will manage a small team of 3-4 chefs and 3-4 kitchen assistants.

Duties



Lead and manage all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring smooth, quick service and consistent quality. Implement and maintain food safety standards in compliance with health regulations. Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory control, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Foster a collaborative team environment by providing guidance and support to kitchen and front-of-house staff. Develop training programmes for new hires, focusing on quality & efficiency. Regular stock taking, invoice management alongside best practices for stock control.

Experience



Good track record of running busy kitchen Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Great understanding of stock control, recipe management and stocktaking Excellent communication skills & a positive approach to team communication.

Salary of 37.5k Tips expected to be in excess of 5k Quarterly Bonus of 500 based on business metrics Annual profit bonus, up to 10k OTE 55...
