Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing traditional Indian dishes as well as the ability to create modern interpretations. The Chef will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, breads, rice dishes, and desserts. Develop and design new recipes and menus that reflect both traditional and contemporary Indian culinary trends. Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food costing, and ordering supplies. Train and mentor kitchen staff on Indian cooking techniques and best practices. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and work areas. Collaborate with management to create seasonal and special event menus. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, with a strong portfolio of authentic dishes. Deep understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in Indian cuisine. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment. Creativity and passion for culinary arts. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel. Familiarity with modern cooking techniques and fusion cuisine. Knowledge of various regional Indian cuisines, including but not limited to Punjabi.
