Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences in this elite performance arena. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven supervisory and team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation while fostering a positive and collaborative environment. You will be expected to work 5 days from 7 on a rota basis.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency in dishes served. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages. Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff to promote professional development.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and training. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is a must.
