Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking, dedicated Head chef to run the kitchen
The Old Farmhouse is a very busy, fast paced restaurant, which is very popular with locals and visitors. We are a mix of pub classics and modern dishes.
Life, work balance is key to our business and we offer a great starting wage with bounces and tips.
Working hours will be Wednesday to Sunday, days off every Monday and Tuesday.
we DO NOT offer live in
Duties
- Oversee the kitchen operations and ensure food quality meets the highest standards
- Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practice
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Qualifications in food and hygiene level 3
- Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
