Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef (only UK national or legal UK resident) to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations Develop innovative menus in line with current trends and customer preferences Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs effectively Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen Train staff in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor kitchen performance, providing feedback and conducting regular appraisals Assist in serving when necessary during busy periods or special events

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment Extensive food production and preparation skills across various cuisines Strong team management capabilities with excellent leadership qualities In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene Exceptional cooking skills with a flair for presentation and innovation Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating versatility and adaptability Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills to motivate staff and liaise effectively with other departments Passionate about culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement Flexible hours Salary/ wage will be decided as per the skills and duty hours

Pay: 13.60-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 01 - 48 per week
