We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and organisational policies
Develop new menus and recipes in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise kitchen efficiency
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on continuous improvement
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive food production and culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating leadership in a fast-paced environment
Skilled in menu development, food presentation, and hospitality service standards
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management
