We're The Cricketers Inn, a well-established village pub in Easton, just outside Winchester. We serve a mix of fresh, seasonal food and well-executed pub classics. We've got a loyal following, a solid trade, and we're looking for a chef to take ownership of the kitchen and help us continue to grow.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation.
Prepare and cook meals, including pub classics, specials and pizzas
Plan and create seasonal menus and specials that meet customers' preferences and the availability of fresh ingredients.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest quality standards.
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Collaborate with other areas of the business, including bar support, cleaning, and assisting with the letting rooms.
Skills:
Confident in running a kitchen independently
Strong knowledge of fresh, seasonal cooking
Organised with good prep, stock, and waste management
Level-headed during service -- calm, not chaotic
Good with hygiene systems (and maintaining a clean kitchen)
Able to plan menus around margins and what's available
Comfortable working closely with the owner and small team
Pride in your food -- and the standard it leaves the pass
We've been without a chef for a few months -- the owner has been running the kitchen -- so this is your chance to come in, take the lead, and help shape the next chapter.
