The Role:



Chef



Food is an important aspect of our care, and we focus on serving freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced, classic, and comforting meals, to suit each resident's individual tastes and preferences.

We are looking to recruit a Chef to join our friendly team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating the menus for our residents, supervising the kitchen team and ensuring the kitchen is kept to a high standard of hygiene.

Duties and responsibilities include:



Creation of nutritional-balanced weekly menus with flexible approach to menu alterations

Ability to provide any special dietary requirements including pureed &

modified meals

Food is cooked and served at correct temperature

Efficient and hygienic preparation of food by all kitchen staff

Daily and weekly cleaning of kitchen is carried out

All equipment is well-maintained and kept clean

Ensuring food stocks and stores are well maintained, HACCP compliance is maintained

Lead a small but dedicated team, compiling their weekly rotas

Record and action any incidents or accidents

Have excellent Health & Safety knowledge

Be financially astute with good understanding of food costs

Be innovative, creative and driven by excellence

Stay up to date with current food trends

Qualifications:



Substantial experience in Advanced Health & Hygiene

Previous experience of working in a care home preferred

Hold relevant qualifications in Catering Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff. Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
