We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian /punjabi food Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Manage food preparation processes, including planning menus, sourcing ingredients, and controlling portions
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, promoting skill development and team cohesion
Innovate new recipes and menu items to keep offerings fresh and aligned with current culinary trends
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and oversee daily operations
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and food safety practices
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Good understanding of health & safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen hygiene
Experience in serving guests directly or overseeing service operations is desirable
