Are you a self-motivated, hard-working and passionate Head Chef looking to join a growing kitchen team in our pub in the beautiful Suffolk countryside?

The Kettleburgh Chequers is a family-owned pub and restaurant in the Suffolk countryside and is the perfect spot for a meal out with the family or drinks with friends.

We have six beautiful guest rooms located in our amazing gardens. Enjoy wood-fired pizzas and watch the sunset over the river Deben with a glass of wine.

Our menu offers an exciting range of traditional and contemporary pub food which changes seasonally.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to join our kitchen team to lead and manage our kitchen and our pizzeria teams.

Main Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for all kitchen operations and maintaining a high standard of food, food hygiene and safety, and overall professionalism.

Reports to:

General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and service to an exceptional standard

Training and managing all kitchen team members

Create and foster a positive kitchen environment

Planning and executing seasonal menus

GP management and pricing

Stock management and ordering

Implementing and maintaining food hygiene and safety practices

Manage food safety documentation

Collaborate and communicate effectively with leadership team and front of house team

Maintain relationships with suppliers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
