We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
Plan and develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences and uphold the establishment's standards
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor food safety practices, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards and legal requirements
Provide training and mentorship to staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
Assist in serving customers when necessary, maintaining a high level of hospitality and professionalism
Qualifications
Proven supervisory experience within a busy culinary environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Sound understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for culinary innovation and excellence
Exceptional communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service
