Head Coach - Women's Artistic Gymnastics

Are you ready to take the reins of a thriving Women's Artistic Gymnastics programme and inspire the next generation of champions?

York City Gymnastics (YCG) is offering a rare and exciting opportunity for a dynamic, driven, and experienced coach to lead our WAG squad to new heights. We're looking for a Head Coach who is not only technically skilled but also passionate about athlete development, team culture, and long-term success.

This is your chance to shape the future of our WAG programme, build on the incredible foundation already in place, and lead a talented group of gymnasts toward regional & national success.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of 32K-40K, based on experience. Full-time role ( 35h per week) Relocation assistance for candidates moving to York. Access to our state-of-the-art gymnastics facility, featuring over 1800m of dedicated space and full GG, WAG, MAG, and TRG equipment. A supportive coaching team committed to helping gymnasts of all ages and abilities reach their potential.

Requirements

British Gymnastics Level 3 WAG coaching qualification working towards Level 4 (minimum). Proven experience coaching competitive-level gymnasts. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior coaches and foster a positive team culture. Excellent communication and teaching abilities, capable of breaking down complex techniques for athletes of varying skill levels. A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a team environment. Ability to motivate and inspire gymnasts to set ambitious goals and work towards achieving them.

Desirable Experience

Demonstrated success in athlete development and progression. Experience planning and delivering structured, safe, and engaging gymnastics sessions. Strong organisational skills, including planning training schedules, events, and competitions. Knowledge of talent identification and athlete pathway development. A thorough understanding of gymnastics rules, strategies, and best practices.
