Summary

We are seeking a Head Cook to join our team at Overdon Care Home. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Your culinary expertise will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare balanced meals that meet the dietary requirements of residents. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff and assist with training as needed. Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain kitchen operations. Create menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and resident preferences. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse meals. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively.

Pay: 13.50-14.23 per hour
