We're now looking for an experienced and inspiring

Lead Coach / Manager

to bring the LaunchPad vision to life on and off the pitch.

The Role



As Lead Coach / Academy Manager, you will be central to building and running the LaunchPad Academy JPL teams. You'll take the lead in designing the training programme, coaching the players, managing matchdays, and setting the culture for excellence, enjoyment, and growth.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a new academy from day one.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the coaching and management

of LaunchPad Academy JPL teams (initially U7-U10 age groups). Design and deliver high-quality, engaging training sessions that develop players technically, tactically and physically.

Promote a fun-first environment

where individual player development and enjoyment are prioritised. Manage teams on matchdays including selection, team talks, in-game management and communication with parents. Support and mentor assistant coaches to ensure consistency and quality across the programme. Work closely with the Head of Football and wider LaunchPad team to develop academy structure, progression routes and club culture. Build strong relationships with players, parents, and partner clubs to promote development and trust. Monitor player progress and provide feedback to players and families.

Essential Requirements



UEFA A Licence (minimum requirement). Proven experience coaching high-level youth football (academy or grassroots elite). Strong understanding of child development and long-term player development models. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills. A nurturing, supportive approach that balances challenge with encouragement. Safeguarding, First Aid and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete before start).

Desirable Attributes



Experience within JPL, EFL or academy settings. Strength & conditioning or physical development knowledge. Track record of working with a range of player abilities and backgrounds. Passion for building a football environment based on values, not just results.

Pay: 50.00-70.00 per hour
