Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated
Head Goalkeeping Coach
to lead and develop our goalkeeper provision across our Essex centres. This is a hands-on coaching role, delivering high-quality sessions to aspiring goalkeepers aged 6-16, with the opportunity to grow into full-time educational and programme leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate goalkeeper training sessions
Lead and mentor part-time assistant goalkeeper coaches (if applicable)
Monitor player progress and provide regular feedback to players and parents
Work closely with the wider coaching team to align goalkeeping development with team philosophy
Support trialist identification and assessment processes
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and professional environment at all sessions
Contribute to seasonal goalkeeper development plans and CPD initiatives
What We're Looking For
Minimum FA Level 2 Goalkeeping or UEFA C Goalkeeping licence (or working towards)
Experience coaching goalkeepers aged 6-16 in academy, grassroots or private settings
Strong communication and organisational skills
A passion for player development and mentorship
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Safeguarding and First Aid certifications (can be supported)
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience in programme development or education delivery
UEFA B (GK or Outfield)
Driving licence and access to transport
