Job Summary

We have an exciting new vacancy for a Head Housekeeper to join our team at The Gwydyr Hotel

The Hotel is a recently upgraded 4-star hotel located in the heart of beautiful Betws-y-Coed, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Housekeeper to lead our friendly housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional hospitality.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel policies. Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained while adhering to budgetary constraints. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Implement and maintain health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.

Requirements

Previous experience in a housekeeping role within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
