About the role:



Thank you for your interest in joining our company. We are an independent family-owned holiday park in the small village of Charmouth. Our team is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual with a passion for hospitality to be our Head Housekeeper.

As the Head Housekeeper you will be responsible for maintaining the high standard of cleanliness throughout accommodation, facilities and communal areas. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and inspires their team. This is a twelve-month permanent contract. During a full calendar year at Newlands, you will see a lot of variation in the role, from; planning, inventory & deep cleaning during our winter season (November - March) to the fast-paced environment of the six weeks summer holidays.

What the role looks like:



Leading from the front in motivating a small housekeeping team to deliver immaculate holidays Managing rotas, productivity, and scheduling for the housekeeping function Ensuring all accommodation, facilities and communal areas are maintained to exceptional standards Managing linen & chemical orders in a cost-effective manner Collaborating with other department heads to ensure the smooth running of the park Onboarding and training of new team members Collaborating with the Senior Management team on health & safety, inventory, budgets, and SOPs Representing Newlands Holidays when meeting guests & visitors - always professional and welcoming

What You'll Bring:



Minimum 3 years' experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/management role A sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for high standards and great service Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, and hospitality best practices Able to plan and organise your calendar efficiently and effectively throughout the year with ordering and staffing to suit workload. Able to plan and organise your team's day efficiently and effectively Positive, calm under pressure, and self-motivated A hands-on approach -- you'll be working alongside your team, not managing from a distance Physically fit and comfortable navigating the park Warm, outgoing personality - a natural team-builder and people person Willingness to work weekends and school holidays Full clean drivers license

About Newlands



We are an independent family-owned holiday park in the small village of Charmouth in West Dorset. We have 96 letting units and 200 touring and camping pitches set over 23 acres of Dorset Countryside and being Dorset we are on a hill! Our accommodation ranges from nightly rooms all the way to spacious lodges. We have a Bar and Restaurant, two swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna, along with three amenity blocks for the touring and camping.
