Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to optimise efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Liaise with management to address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure adherence to health and safety policies. Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and staff attendance.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with previous leadership responsibilities preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures. Hospitality experience is highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by hotel operations.
