We are recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Milsoms Hotel team in Dedham as

Head Housekeeper

.

Milsoms is a welcoming, independently run family hotel with 15 beautifully appointed bedrooms and a range of inviting common areas. We take pride in offering exceptional comfort, cleanliness, and service to every guest.

This is a

permanent position

starting in

November

, working

4-5 days per week

(9am-3/4pm).

Hourly rate:

13.50 plus a share of tips.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards. Organise and oversee the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail. Create and manage staff rotas to meet business needs. Train, supervise, and support housekeeping staff in daily operations. Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen. Work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth communication across departments. Uphold and promote health, safety, and hygiene standards. Be flexible to meet the changing needs of the business, including weekend work.

About You

Minimum

1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role

within housekeeping. Strong

rota management and organisational skills

. Excellent

attention to detail

and

cleaning knowledge

. Understand the

pace and efficiency

required to service hotel rooms to a high standard. A positive team leader who works well with others. Professional communication skills and a hands-on approach. Reliable, flexible, and passionate about delivering a great guest experience.
