We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel. The successful candidate will lead the housekeeping team, ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained, and contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Previous hotel experience and a strong background in hospitality and janitorial services are highly desirable. Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness standards are met across all guest rooms and public areas
Train, mentor, and support housekeeping staff to maintain high levels of service quality
Develop cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently among team members
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained
Liaise with other departments to coordinate special requests and resolve any issues promptly
Uphold health and safety standards, including adherence to hygiene protocols and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
Assist in recruitment processes for housekeeping staff when necessary
Skills
Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments, with a strong understanding of industry standards
Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
