Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that our establishment maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation. This role is crucial in providing an exceptional experience for our guests and maintaining the reputation of our hotel.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, including assigning tasks to staff and ensuring completion. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency while adhering to health and safety regulations. Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a housekeeping role within the hotel or hospitality industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the hotel.
