Head Housekeeper | La Fontana Care Home in Martock, Somerset | Salary: 13.50 per hour | Hours: 37.5 per week

La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is a purpose-built, innovative care home nestled in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We provide specialist Dementia and Nursing care for up to 76 residents, and we're looking for a proactive, inspiring Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our residents.


This isn't just a cleaning role it's an opportunity to lead a team, shape operations, and create a welcoming, safe environment that residents are proud to call home.

What you'll be doing:

Lead and inspire the housekeeping team, setting high standards and fostering a positive, motivated culture. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff, helping them develop skills and achieve their potential. Plan and delegate daily cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping operations efficiently. Ensure quality and consistency, inspecting rooms and communal areas regularly. Manage budgets and supplies, keeping operations cost-effective while maintaining excellence. Collaborate across departments, ensuring seamless communication and problem-solving. Promote safety and sanitation, ensuring a secure, hygienic environment for residents and staff. Resolve concerns professionally, responding promptly to resident or staff feedback.

What we offer:

13.50 per hour + additional 2 per hour overtime Pension scheme Paid DBS Uniform provided Onsite parking 5.6 weeks annual leave (full-time)
