The Ridings Restaurant and Rooms at Theobalds is undergoing huge refurbishment and redevelopment. The site is being returned to her former luxurious glory!


We are recruiting a

Head Housekeeper

to maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout our hotel and the soon to be 100 rooms, as she is refurbished to a grand and luxurious state.


The site will include spa, gym and pool facilities- with increasing public areas as refurbishment and renovation progresses. It's a really exciting time to join the team!


You will be key in the expansion and opening of more rooms throughout the estate- planning as they come back to the group, ready for our returning guests.

As Head Housekeeper you will;

Set room allocations ready for day- set up and lead the team ensuring changeovers met in time efficient manner

. Manage team rotas and costings


. Ordering products, linen - ensuring availability as required


. Checking and monitoring standards of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout hotel


. Training team


. Provide a cleaning service to all public, client and staff areas of the building.

Ensure cleaning meets and exceeds our client standards, including bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas. Maintain and enhance the cleanliness of the buildings and site as a whole- including the expanding and reopening areas.

Good attention to detail The ability to work well under pressure or time sensitive environment A commitment to high levels of cleanliness A friendly personality with customers and staff alike- experience in leading a team in a similar role and hotel setting is advantageous
