The Role: Head Housekeeper

As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort throughout our care home. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will be essential in creating a safe, pleasant, and homely atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead, manage, and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring effective rota management and task allocation. Develop and implement robust cleaning schedules and procedures, adhering to all health and safety, COSHH, and infection control regulations. Maintain comprehensive records and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with CQC standards. Oversee stock control and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure residents' rooms and communal areas are consistently clean, tidy, and presentable, with a sensitive and respectful approach to their personal space. Identify and report any maintenance issues promptly. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for residents and staff.

The Role: eLearning Champion



As our eLearning Champion, you will be instrumental in promoting and facilitating the use of our online learning platform among staff. You'll empower your colleagues to confidently engage with digital training, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the primary point of contact and "super user" for our eLearning platform. Provide one-to-one and group support to staff, guiding them through the platform and troubleshooting any issues. Champion the benefits of online learning and encourage staff engagement with training modules. Assist in tracking and reporting on staff training completion to ensure compliance with mandatory and ongoing professional development. Identify areas where eLearning can further support staff development and feedback to management. Stay up-to-date with new eLearning features and best practices.

About You:



Proven experience in a supervisory housekeeping role, ideally within a care home or similar setting. Excellent understanding of health and safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures. Demonstrable experience and enthusiasm for using digital platforms and technology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, motivate, and support colleagues. A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine understanding of the needs of individuals living with dementia. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. A positive "can-do" attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement. IT literate with a willingness to learn new systems.
